Resveratrol Benefits - Types of Supplements

The new discovery of what resveratrol can do for the human body has led to a mad rush in technology to devise the best supplement that harnesses its powers. There is correspondingly a wide variety of supplements that all make the claim of having the best of the resveratrol benefits. What exactly are these benefits, and what are the different types of products on the market that best tap into them? To learn more about this, it’s helpful to do a bit of comparison shopping into all of the options on the market at the moment.

One of the aspects of resveratrol benefits that are most exciting is that this is a substance that occurs naturally in certain fruits such as grapes, and even red wine that is synthesized from grapes. This is one of the forms that the supplement can be taken in, as simply part of a dietary change that incorporates more of these fruits that are natural bearers of resveratrol. To learn more about what fruits contain the supplement, you can ask a nutritionist, but most small dark berries seem to contain at least a trace of this powerful antioxidant.

However, for larger amounts that will have a more powerful anti-aging effect on skin and fat deposits, there is a chemically synthesized resveratrol that is available in pill or capsule form, to be taken orally as a supplement to one’s diet. A real double whammy of this antioxidant would be to take the supplements as well as drink a glass of red wine per day, giving you twice the resveratrol benefits, in a relatively safe and natural way. There are still studies being undertaken as to what form the supplement is most effective in, so actually combining both like this would be a good idea.

As mentioned above, this is still a supplement that is being heavily studied at the moment, so the real long term benefits are not yet known. It is doubtful that there are any harmful side effects. To reap the best of the resveratrol benefits, it’s recommended to speak to a health care professional about what supplemental forms could work the best considering your own health needs and history. For instance, if you have liver damage, you may want to pass on the wine and simply have a bundle of grapes per day instead. This is all up to your discretion, and having more options is always for the best.

My previous habit of eating lots of junk food was making me feel very unmotivated and tired all the time. A few months ago I decided to consider resveratrol and I am so thankful for it.

I think that if people just shopped for less processed foods we would all feel healthier. Thanks to resveratrol, much damage can be repaired.
